The Woodlands Township Board of Directors unanimously approved a fare adjustment and service enhancements for The Woodlands Express following a public input process conducted in accordance with Federal Transit Administration Title VI requirements.

Effective April 1, 2026, the round trip fare for The Woodlands Express Park and Ride program will increase from $15 to $17. The adjustment reflects ongoing efforts to maintain reliable, high quality commuter service while addressing operational costs.

In addition to the fare change, several service improvements were approved to better meet rider needs. A second midday return route from Downtown Houston will be added, providing additional flexibility for commuters traveling back to all three Park and Ride locations. An additional 3:10 p.m. departure from Downtown Houston to the Sterling Ridge Park and Ride will also be implemented, offering an earlier return option based on rider feedback.

These enhancements aim to improve convenience and expand travel options for current and future riders while continuing to support efficient regional mobility.
